Word goal: 500. Word achievement: 1,500.
I spent quite a bit of time thinking about Upgrade last night after I’d done a spell on it. The possibilities of how the story will unfold keep coming at me at odd times – when I sat down to write today I found the words came pretty damn quick.
The story is getting to the point where it’s starting to want to tell itself; the people are all talking together inside my head, taking part in impromtu scenes and conversations, actions and consequences.
No clue how much of it will make it into the final product, but this is one of the most fun parts of writing for me – watching the people come together and start to tell their own story.

It’s the getting-writing-done-early that’s helping; I still get things overruning the usual “lunch” time slot (had one today) but now I don’t need to worry about it eating the “me” time. Win for the office (same work, happier Parry) and win for me (happier Parry, actually doing some writing).
