Upgrade is now officially longer than Night’s Favour.
The draft is sitting at a shade over 108,000 words, and that’s after I butchered a couple scenes, dropping 2,000-5,000 words into the scrap pile.
When I started this story, I was pretty sure it was going to be bigger than Night’s Favour — now I’ve passed NF’s published length, that prediction has shown to withstand scrutiny. Rock and roll, and all that.
It’s coming along nicely, if I do say so, but I’m on a roll — I’m going to get back to it.
