It’s That Kind Of Day

It’s raining bastards outside.

Richard Tries Touchfit GSP.

A perfect day for going through your editing process – no temptations to whip outside and get away from it all.  The dog can want a walk all he likes, but unless he’s a salmon he’s not getting to swim outside.

The good news is I edited through another six chapters today, hitting the point where my writing’s starting to not be quite so shit.  With luck, things will go a bit faster from here on out.  I live in hope; re-writing stuff because it doesn’t make sense is hard.  Don’t get me wrong: it’s not hard because it’s difficult to write.  It’s hard because sometimes I can’t work out WTF I meant when I wrote it.

The cool thing is rediscovering parts where my characters meet each other, and – generally – being happy with the relationships and dialogue I’ve written.  I want to get this editing done and some beta product in people’s hands to review, because I’m positive it’s not as good as I think it is – but I’d like to know where and why.

On other news, I’ve been trying to keep up with the hermitage exercise programme.  Today’s workout involved using Touchfit GSP (obligatory iStore link), which I’d have to say is fairly brutal.  Pro tip: don’t answer any of their questions about how it went with, “Yeah, that was easy.”  That kind of thing will cost you, Tinker Bell.  If you’re wondering how I rate the app: loving it so far, my favourite fitness app so far.  As you can see from the happy shot, I left a sweat shower on the floor.

Result, you know?  See you tomorrow!
