Ah…

…it’s good to be back with Mason and Sadie again.

Upgrade’s a really different story to Night’s Favour – at least on the surface.  No werewolves, for a start.  Lots of megacorps.  But there’s still people there, doing human things, and that’s the cool part about writing (at least, for me).  I’m getting to know my characters again, and today they started to speak in their own voices again.

Much like yesterday, today was a day of re-writes and updates.  Unlike yesterday, I actually made progress – I probably trashed about 1,000 words, but wrote 1,500 or so for a net win.  The story is getting its legs again, after spending so much time asleep.
