A truly epic set of reads for even those on a budget of zero dollars 🎁

Something for nothing-to-very-little.

This is a special service announcement for those on tight budgets.

I got emails from a few of you last month after my how-do-authors-make-bank email. You have limited funds; reading's an escape, but one that's not always affordable. Some of you are outright broke.

At this time of year, that can suck pretty bad. On top of that, ads are everywhere. Companies waterboard your brain through your eyeballs. To combat your wallet's screaming, I've gathered a short list of truly epic reads you can get for zero to a dollar apiece, including boxed sets.

It seems I'm not alone: these authors are pulling together to give you free and high-value reads in the month that's hardest on your wallet.

The Magitech Chronicles

Tech Mage CoverChris Fox's Tech Mage has 140 reviews with a 4.5-star average on Amazon. It's zero Earth dollars.

Why you care: No romance, lots of action, lots of magic, gods, and dragons tearing apart starships. It'll appeal to lovers of my Ezeroc Wars series, or military sci-fi / space opera.

Bonus reads from Chris: he's offering three other stories to people who sign up to his mailing list. [Click here] to get Exiled, The First Ark, and Planet Strider (you can unsubscribe at any time).

Power challenge: Void Wyrm and Spellship (books 2 & 3 of the Magitech Chronicles) are a buck apiece for georesidents of the US and UK.

The Ezeroc Wars

My own Tyche's Flight has over 130 reviews with a 4.5 star average on the crucible that is Goodreads. It's a buck on Amazon, Nook, iBooks, and Kobo.

Why you care: Hey, it's me. But in case the season's got to your brain -- it's got to mine! -- it's Firefly-meets-Aliens. Space opera / fantasy, military sci-fi. Lots of action, an evil alien empire, a corrupt republic, loss, betrayal, redemption, and love. A misfit crew on a heavy lifter in the hard black. Did I mention humor? There's a risk you'll laugh out loud.

This made it to Amazon bestseller status this week: thank you all for your support. If you pick it up on sale, I'd love to hear what you think.

Bonus read from me: I'm giving Consensus away for zero dollars. Scroll to the Mega Promo at the end for linkage.

The Alorian Wars

Drew Avera and I shared coveted space in MD Cooper's Pew! Pew! anthologies. He's put both his Alorian Wars box sets and his Dead Planet series on sale for a buck each.

Why you care: apart from being ridiculous value, these appeal to lovers of space opera, galactic empire, and military sci-fi. If you like my Ezeroc Wars stories, or the Pew! Pew! anthologies, these should be on your list. Drew's military sci-fi is flavored by his authentic experience as an active duty navy veteran.

Why you care: USA Today Bestselling Authors like Dean Wilson are here. There's space opera, fantasy, action, post-apocalyptic, and more. It's a good opportunity to try a new author: get on their list, see if you like the cut of their jib, and ease a few titles onto your ereader without burdening your credit card.

I hope you've found something here easy on the eye and easier on the wallet. Until next time, keep being awesome.
